Tab Thacker is a former American professional wrestler and actor. He was born on December 13, 1960, in Charlotte, North Carolina. Thacker is best known for his time in World Championship Wrestling (WCW) and Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) during the 1990s.
Thacker wrestled under the ring name "Tugboat" and later "Tugboat Tyler" in WCW, where he formed a tag team with Typhoon (Fred Ottman) known as "The Natural Disasters." The duo had a successful run in the company before Thacker left in 1993.
After his time in WCW, Thacker joined ECW and wrestled as "Tugboat" for a brief period before retiring from professional wrestling. He later pursued a career in acting, appearing in small roles in films and television series.
Despite his relatively short wrestling career, Tab Thacker made a lasting impact on the industry and is remembered by fans for his memorable portrayal of the lovable giant Tugboat/Tugboat Tyler.
